Helping people has always been part of who I am.
For years, family, friends, and even people I barely knew have come to me when they needed help figuring something out. I have always been the person who makes the call, asks the extra question, compares the options, finds the right person, and says, “Before you decide, let’s look into this.”
That is simply who I am. I care deeply about people, and I do not like seeing someone feel lost, rushed, confused, or taken advantage of because they did not know what to ask or where to turn.
Over the years, that has meant helping with healthcare, billing questions, forms and applications, resumes, job searches, college and FAFSA, disability paperwork, cars, homes, schools, vendors, family changes, and all the everyday situations that come up when life gets busy.
Sometimes people need information. Sometimes they need organization. Sometimes they need someone to make the call, follow through, source the right option, or simply help them understand what comes next.
My brother’s serious hospital stay made this even more personal. Staying involved, asking questions, communicating, and keeping track of what needed attention reminded me how important it can be to have someone in your corner when life feels overwhelming.
Off Your Plate is my way of turning what I have always done naturally into a service that can help more people feel informed, supported, prepared, and less alone.
We care about the outcome, not just the task. We help people feel informed, supported, and less alone while they work through real-life responsibilities.
Do the research. Ask the questions. Know your options.
